January 15, 2024 - When cold weather arrives and people use alternate sources to heat their homes, our emergency departments often treat an influx of patients suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. 

January 4, 2024 - A technology developed by a Formula One racecar driver will now help TowerDIRECT, the system’s non-profit ambulance company, safely transport the tiniest patients in our community.

December 5, 2023 - This holiday season, The Friends of Reading Hospital are encouraging employees and community members to shop local at the annual Holiday Happenings Craft Shop on Wednesday, December 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the Reading Hospital Fifth Avenue Lobby and Conference Rooms 1 to 3. Free valet parking is available at the 5th Avenue Garage.

November 28, 2023 - Reading Hospital will open a third full-service pharmacy on Wednesday, November 29 in Wyomissing. Among the services offered at the new pharmacy is free home delivery to residents within a 25-mile radius.

November 16, 2023 – Reading Hospital is excited to announce that H. Christopher Lawson, MD, has been promoted to the role of Division Chief, Neurosurgery effective October 5.

November 15, 2023 - Tower Health at Home Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Maricelys Ortiz views her patients as family members, treating them with dignity and respect.

November 13, 2023 -  Tower Health provides excellent cancer care across all locations. We are now aligning this care even more closely. Starting in November, Phoenixville Hospital Cancer Center and Pottstown Hospital Cancer Center will become McGlinn Cancer Institute at Phoenixville Hospital and McGlinn Cancer Institute at Pottstown Hospital.

November 1, 2023 - In an effort to raise awareness about men’s health, the Reading Hospital Foundation is hosting Beards & Brews with celebrity bartenders at BLDG 24 on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4 to 10 p.m.
