August 8, 2018 - Reading Hospital is the first hospital in the region to treat carotid artery disease and prevent future strokes using a new procedure called TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR). TCAR is a clinically proven, minimally invasive and safe approach for high-risk surgical patients who need carotid artery treatment.

April 9, 2018 - Tower Health and Drexel University have announced plans to jointly develop a branch medical school campus of Drexel University College of Medicine in West Reading near the campus of Reading Hospital, subject to the appropriate accreditation approvals.

March 29, 2018 - A new dedication plaque in memory of Jennie and Constantine "Gus" Kratsas, recognizing their contributions to support children and families in the community, has been installed in the Emergency Department Pediatric Waiting Room at Reading Hospital.

December 13, 2017 - Reading Hospital announced that it will introduce MindKare Mental Health Kiosks in Reading HealthPlex lobby, beginning Thursday, December 14.
