January 26, 2026 - Reading Hospital’s Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) believes it’s never too early to start reading! The team participated in the 2025 Babies with Books Read-A-Thon, a friendly reading competition between multiple NICUs to promote early literacy, family bonding, and brain development. 

November 11, 2025 - In October 2023, Reading Hospital employee Tina Wehr and her family faced the heartbreaking decision to end lifesaving treatment for her 44-year-old brother, Chris McCann, a United States Marine Corps veteran who was injured in a traffic accident.

October 6, 2025 - Lace up your running shoes and register for Reading Hospital Road Run, which will be hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital on Sunday, October 19, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. 

April 3, 2025 – The Friends of Reading Hospital, in collaboration with the Reading Hospital Foundation, brought a splash of color and a showcase of artistic cuisine to Redner's Event Center at FirstEnergy Stadium on March 28 with their new “Farm to Table(aux)” event.

January 2, 2025 - Five Berks County professionals who have dedicated their lives to community service and philanthropic efforts have been added to the Reading Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors. 

November 6, 2024 - Celebrity bartenders will serve drinks with a splash of philanthropy during the Reading Hospital Foundation’s annual “Beards and Brews” event on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Building 24 Kitchen and Bar in Wyomissing. 

October 28, 2024 – When Katherine Thornton visits the Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing, she always stops by the Healing Garden before entering the building.

October 23, 2024 - The Reading Hospital Foundation has named Alec Reinert as Director of Stewardship. In this leadership role, he will develop comprehensive fundraising strategies and raise awareness about the tremendous impact of the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts.
